Good effort all round lah QLD!!!

MASCA is over. Here are the highlights that we're proud of:

Girl power! Because QLD girls are more than just good looks :)

Netball - Mengakhiri kemarau 7 tahun, apabila menewaskan musuh tradisi NSW. Sumber2 mengatakan mereka menangis kegembiraan, how touching. Well done girls! A very satisfying ending for those who will end their MASCA careers this year.

Futsal - Gold dan Silver??? Now that's coming back with a vengeance! Congrats!

Basketball - Gold = Emas = Aurium. How did they do that? Enough said.

Frisbee is not for the faint-hearted

Whoever says frisbee is a peaceful game played by a bunch of sissies should rethink. The intensity of the game took a lot of people by surprise. It's as exciting as other games really!

Gold! Team2 lain technically lebih gempak, tapi team QLD lebih bertenaga. Mengamalkan classic man-marking dan simple short passes, they were able to stifle the opposition and score from quick counters. Love the word counter-attack.

Overall

2nd overall. This is good! Superb result for a state that punches well above its own weight. You'd assume the New South Welsh and Victorians would normally get 1st and 2nd due to their large pool of talents, but we've proved em wrong. Well done again!

Forgettables

Bola - Gagal melepasi group stage. Did not score enough goals, and also state2 lain pun sama power. Unlucky.

Ragbi - 2nd to NSW, so gagal mengekalkan kejuaraan last year. Don't worry, we'll bounce back.

Futsal - Continues its usual underperformance, bowing out in QFs. Mmm, wonder if we can get some dedicated futsal players around here...

Game lain tak sure (Badminton - harap2 menang, bowling / squash / tennis / ping-pong etc). Please advise. Yang penting, the contingent did really well.

Insyaallah, this will be my last MASCA. Always sad to leave all the memories, but am confident that the new generation of players will do the whole state proud.
