There were also new faces in Mat Pit (GK), Kiru (LB) and Afiq Foofie (RW) to strengthen the squad. After all, extra fresh legs are always appreciated in any football match.
First half
Slightly in opponent's favour. They began the game aggressively, trying to outmuscle us in search of a first goal. Good to see the defense holding up solid. Unfortunately, we experienced an early setback when they scored the first goal. A 25-metre lob somehow beat the outstretched hands of Mat Pit. Unlucky.
The physicality continued and Sunil was the next victim, after a rash challenge buggered up his leg. Sheesh. Nevertheless, the game was even and score remained 0-1 till half time.

Second half
Much better performance from the whole team. There were twice as much energy (yes, I've calculated) and we enjoyed a lot more possession of the ball. Had several chances to score, but was either let down by poor first-touch, disappointing finishing and last-ditch tackles. Situation remained that way till 5 minutes from time. Our gamble to push everyone up paid dividends when Haris unleashed a fantastic strike to beat the keeper, smashing the ball into the bottom left corner. Ecstasy engulfed the field. Almost snatched victory from defeat when 2 minutes from time, Johan rampaged from the left and squared the ball to Nijam. Nijam struck fiercely, but was unlucky to hit the bar. Final score, 1-1.

Highlights:
1) Gol. Sungkitan 25 meter daripada penyerang pasukan Warrior yang melayang ke belakang gawang gol.
2) Lan merembat off-target, ekoran serangan tersusun yang mengkelam-kabutkan kawasan gol Warriors.
3) Haris merembat off-target dari 15 meter, menyesar ke sebelah kanan.
4) Mat Pit menepis keluar rembatan kencang penyerang lawan. Bola keluar sipi-sipi melewati tiang atas.
5) Gol. Haris merembat kencang dari belah kanan kotak penalti. Bola terbang bagaikan pucuk dilancar. Penjaga gol terpaku kerana 'out of position'.
6) Rembatan padu Nijam yang menggegar palang gol simen, 1 minit sebelum tamat.
Standouts:
1) Mat Pit - Keeper bidan terjun performed when the occasion calls for. Saved heaps.
2) Haris - Hendak seribu daya, tak hendak seribu dalih. After shooting 5-6 times and missing so many, he never gave up and kept trying. Deserved to be rewarded with a goal. A vital one.
3) Nijam - Hero and villain. Coming back from injury, he was again at his best. Was everywhere to set up the attack and challenged everything that moves. Good to have you back mate, seriously am. Unlucky to miss the tap-in, which would've opened his QLD account. Takpe Nijam, kitorang tak marah. No hard feelings. Tapi yang confirm, gelaran "Jamlus" akan melekat kat kau selagi kau tak score. JAMLUSS!!!!!!! Ahaha!!!
