UQ 7-a-side soccer competition details

Semester 1, 2010 competition starts 14 March, 2010

Semester 1, 2010 enrolments open on the 8th of February until the 11th of March.

Competition days and times*

Saturday: Mixed and mens 1pm - 5pm Sunday: Mixed and mens 12pm - 5pm * Upon nomination please indicate which day your team is participating in.

Venue

Indooroopilly High School Address: Ward Street, Indooroopilly

Length

10 weeks of games, for all teams, including finals, with the exception of washed out games or byes. Semester break: Saturday April 3 and Sunday April 4 Some draws may include breaks for public holidays, university breaks or venue availability.

Team enrolment price

0-4 UQ students and/or concession holders within a team: $730 5+ UQ students and/or concession holders within a team: $710 Includes insurance for all players, equipment, venue, logistics and officials for all games. No other hidden 'court fees', 'registration fees' or 'umpire fees'! Team fee covers all above mentioned costs for an entire season. Nominations received after the closing date will incur a late fee ($20). No refund will be given under any circumstances.

Enrolling and payment

Enrolling online is quick, easy and secure. You can enrol your team online by clicking the "Enrol" Button available and active during the enrolment period. Enrolments can also be taken at UQ Sport Reception during the enrolment period. A Team Captain and/or Contact enrols, and signs the conditions, on behalf of the team. Team lists are not required until your first game.

Uniform and equipment

Uniform: Teams are encouraged to wear the same coloured T-shirt. No player can take the field without appropriate enclosed shoes. Equipment: Balls, scorecards and officials are provided.

Rules, draws and other information

Rules: Teams must read, understand and abide by the Competition rules. It is the responsibility of the Team Contact to provide their players with access to the rules. Draws: All draws will be released after enrolments have closed. For general information regarding the draws. UQ Sport DOES NOT guarantee that all 10 games will be played during the year. Where possible, UQ Sport will do it's best to ensure that as many as possible washed out games are replayed. Grading: Will be conducted with larger competitions in the Summer Competition. Teams will be advised if their competition will be included in grading.
